The children's playground has been reworked in the last few years; it always was good, but now it's even better and very popular with my children (8 & 5). There're a couple of cafes adjacent, a large pond to walk round, and ducks to see.

We have a family association with Highfields going back a long way.It is a delightful park and we saw swans on the lake and squirrels playing. The gardens are beautifully maintained.Highfields House is now part of the University and has recently been extensively and sympathetically renovated. Here the walled-garden was amazing and well-tended.It is a pleasure to see such an old estate... Lots of road works around the area at the moment for the new tram system, so lots of traffic jams difficult to get to by any means of transport.

This is a very good cheap day for the family, took a picnic, with friends children They played on the childrens play area, lots of open soace and a nice walk around the lake. You can even higher a boat. Most enjoyable day. Shame that they do not have the paddling pool any more but a good cheap day out.

Great natural Park with a nice well kept garden around a big lake, just the right amount for a gentle stroll. Could do with a bit more parking but people are always coming and going, it would have been 5 stars if it had more parking. Ice cream van there most days and a cafe area/ :)

Boating, ice creams, bouncy castles, sand pits, biking, hiking and exploring, lots to do although at first glance you might not think so. The gardens are beautiful, the walks alongside the lake is good fun for the jids too. A good afternoon out at very little expense.
