An excellent way to see all of the city and take note of places you want to visit later. the only downfall when we went there was some work being carried out on a section of the wall so we couldn't do it all. Oh well we'll just have to go back!!!!

This is my first choice of activity for any visitors to York, because it gives a good overview of the city and allows people to spot where they might like to go next. Walking along the walls gives you a great sense of the history of York, in a completely unpretentious way. Especially enjoyable in good weather.

You will have a nice look into the backyards and some of the nice gardens ,also the Minster and other historie buildings can be seen from high up on the walls.Be aware that the walls don't open before 8.00 am...

It was a sunny day; we walked 2 of the 3 sections. Particularity enjoyed the section which ran behind the Minster which gives a real flavour of this historic city.

A great way to see York and very imaginatively presented, with regular displays of information as you go round. You can get coffee in one of the towers, highly recommended if you can get in!
Its a nice long walk around York you can see alot on a nice day but its very tiring.A great way to see the city and get an idea of history and how the city looked in earlier times
