I was really excited to visit this attraction. There is a big build up when you go in. The house is very old and slightly musky. I really wanted to feel something but felt nothing. There is a audio tour in every room you enter which is slightly corney. The history of the house is very interesting and its nice...

I paid 2 visits to this house during my weeks stay in Yorkshire and may i say that this place IS haunted. I felt very nervous before stepping through the first door because i could feel there was something or someone there. I took photos of the stairways but need to check my pics carefully. After going to the 2nd...

I have been to this house 4 times now. Each time seems different. One the 2nd time, I saw the little girl who's spirit been seen by lots of different people in the bottom corridor and on the stairs. Also the last time, the moment I crossed the threshold into the first room I felt an unwelcoming presence, which I...

Very disappointed - was told on the way in that there were no gimics but in fact there were and poor ones at that - I'm usually a very jumpy person but this place did absolutely nothing to scare me - don't waste your money.
We came here thinking it would be another tacky 'ghost train' experience. So much more than that, the house that you explore at your own pace is full of atmosphere, the architecture and decor make it feel like you're in a national trust property, without the roped off and tour guide policing. Really creepy in a genuine stand still and...

spooky old house with an interesting history and some ghostly stories... Ok for a 30 min delve into York's scary past but if you're a cynic about ghosts then probably not for you....
We have visited Haunted twice, and we love it!
I would definately say it has a different feel each time you visit. It's scary without silly special effects, ans what I like best is that you are left to walk around the house alone. It is never really busy and both times we have visted there has been our family...

Having read the reviews on here and deciding to chance it we were pleasantly surprised. The tour lasts around 30 mins and wasn't that busy, we done it with just us (my partner & I) I think the fact we were by ourselves added a 'fear' to it. It was Interesting, although I would say that some of the props...

We maybe wouldn't have gone here, but it was included on the York Pass we had so we thought we'd try it. The house itself is very old, and quite interesting to look round, and we enjoyed the ghost stories as you go round, but apart from being freezing cold, not one of the four of us felt anything else...
