I ended up having a few hours to kill on my last day in London so I headed to the Tate Modern, I thought about going to the Lichtenstein Retrospective but the next available entry slot to go in was 3 hours from when I arrived and I unfortunately had to skip it. Admission to the Tate modern is free... More

An outstanding venue on the Thames with every changing art displays of international significance. My recommendation (after years of paying and queuing) is to become a member - it pays for itself in months and allows you to bring a friend for free & access the member's room (at both London Tates of course). Much more important you save time... More

Tate modern is always a good stop for a visit in London, the collection is really gorgeous, view from museum faboulose but I have to admit that during my last visit in may 2013 the gallery was under construction and too many people were visiting at the same time, so not really the ambience I usually had before.

This museum is certainly a must if you are a modern art lover, if you like art but not modern specifically it can fail to captivate.

Having visited the Tate Modern shortly after it opened about twelve years ago, I was looking forward to seeing it again. But the enormous crowds, and the ongoing construction left me regretting making a repeat visit. The crowding is almost dangerous with crowds trying to squeeze into the narrow entrances. And a lot of the contemporary work really is of... More

The gallery is spacious and large, but I felt there wasn't much substance. I feel either you like modern art or you don't and you have to make up your mind yourself.

Wonderful museum, interesting exhibition on pop artist Roy Lichtenstein. Well worth a visit. Tate Modern is an impressive building with one of the worlds best and most diverse collections of modern art. Must do in London.

Went to the Tate modern twice recently.. Most of it is usually free and you have to pay only for special exhibits In April I went and spend a few hours there .. all free Last week I went again just for the Lichenstein exhibition.. £15 but well worth the money I thought There are cafes and restaurants though I've... Very interesting exhibition on Roy Lichtenstein, one of the leading artists in the Pop Art movement, detailing a perspective on his work and increasing popularity. There is loads more to discover at the Tate Modern, a lot of it free, so would recommend it's a place to return to again and again. Only grumble was the £4 price to hire... More

I finnaly made it to Tate modern after having waited ten years to go! Even it's free (not the Lichtenstein exhibition, cost 15£) I would say this museum is mainly for the ones who are really interested in modern art. I thought is was great. There were two cafés and two restaurants in the buidling. One cheaper on the bottom... More
