This is a wonderful place! Located in the backstreets of Manchester Square, proves why private collections far exceed their well known state cousins in stuffy museums. A melting pot of sculptures, paintings, clocks and furniture gathered across many centuries - there's something for everybody. And the best part...the awesome collection of armor in the lower levels. Absolutely fantastic!

A most outstanding art collection of Sir Richard Wallace, Marquess of Hertford & Lady Hertford who bequeathed the collection to the nation. The 4th Marquess was one of the greatest art collectors of the 19th century and what we see today was essentially his collection.

This wonderful art collection is free! It's tucked behind Selfridges on Manchester Square and still feels like a (very extravagant) Victorian home. This is an absolute gem. The collection of furniture, paintings, snuff boxes etc are of the very highest quality. The staff were helpful and informative. It will be first on our list of places to visit on our next trip to London

Just behind Oxford Street, a former LARGE private house that was donated to the nation, it has recently been refurbished. Our nine-year old loves the children's holiday workshops. Great place to spend a quiet afternoon. Great for adults but not the best place for youngsters as there are mature themes. Excellent weapons colelction too.

I have lived in London for over 10 years, and I can not believe that I had missed this. A fantastic museum with an amazing collection. The tours are very informative, but if you want to know more about a particular painting, ask one of the very friendly attendants.

Lovely mansion/town house in the centre of London. Great paintings and luxurious furniture to see. Especially, I liked Dutch paintings of everyday scenes and the Canalettos. Staff are very friendly and will love to answer your questions. Restaurant/cafe a bit disappointing, as they don't serve hot food.

The Wallace Collection in Hertford House is the most perfect collection of exquisite objects in London. The rooms are a beautiful setting for the treasures. Do try and have a snack or meal in the lovely restaurant outside and the shop will ensure the most lovely presents and card for birthdays and Christmas.
