I think this is the best public transport system in Europe. Get a map and you will get along as well, just check where is the next stop so you will be sure you are going in the right direction and destination. I personally think it is a bit expensive to travel and it can get very busy sometimes, keep... More

I wish someone had told me that most of the London Tube has no wheelchair access. The Tube is not the place to take your luggage. There are literally 100’s of stairs and crushingly full elevators. When we arrived at Paddington Station by Heathrow Express there was an announcement saying Taxi Cabs could be found outside, but nooo… I had... More

Excellent way to get around fast. We bought a traveler Oyster Card which can be used without having to get individual tickets. Peak times are crazy busy but it's a large city. My first time to the city and found it easy to use. Download the Tube Map for iPhone and it will tell you the route, times, platform, duration... More

As a New Yorker I found the tube got me around as needed and affordable. Easy to figure out except at rush hour when the crowds are like swarms of locusts making it difficult to stop and figure out which track you want. Smart phone apps help with this.

A great way of travelling from a to b whilst in our wonderful capital. Its best(if on a day out)to travel on the tube during the times of 10a.m and 4 p.m as rush hour turns a cracking journey into a "pack 4 elephants into a mini" type run.If you do some looking about online you can get some great deals... The best public transport system we encountered through Europe, and a fantastic way to get around London. Fast, efficient and, if you avoid peak hour, not too crowded. Some of the stations are feats of engineering in themselves and worth a visit just for a look - Waterloo and Westminster spring to mind.

We recently visited London for a very short weekend trip and wanted to cram in as much sight seeing as possible. Using the tube made our travels so much easier and was very affordable with a day pass that allowed us to jump on and off to suit our plans. The trains were very clean and not overly crowded except... More

The weekly pass is a bargain at a fraction over £30 for areas 1&2, which covers the majority of tourist locations. Inevitably the downtown is packed, as in any city, but the outer circle was fine and very convenient. Do not forget that this covers the buses too. You cannot do better anywhere.
