After visiting other art galleries in Merseyside I was really pleasantly surprised to find some great paintings at Sudley House. Pre-Raphelites, Turner, Gainsborough, Romney. Had an exhibition of a local woman's clothes and those of her children - gave a real flavour of the 1920's. The house is well cared for and there is a nice little cafe. Enjoyed walking around - it was early spring so lots of bulbs out. Very pleasant visit.
