I enjoyed seeing the beatles story a lot, but the slim guide book was a rip-off price. I had a dinner at a restaurant of the Albert Dog, but it was a bit expensive.

Lots of places to eat and drink. On a cold day is a bit breezy so get wrapped up. Lots to see and do.

We arrived there late so was unable to visit the museums nearby. The Beatles Story is still open, however we decide to give that a miss and relax at one of the cafe instead.

Albert dock is great for families all the museums are free, the oldies can visit the Beatles Story, the kids can wonder at the Titanic exhibition and the restaurants are great too.!!

The former harbour area has been renovated and is now a UNESCO heritage along with other parts of the town. Liverpool is still a somewhat run-down place with lots of uninteresting architecture. This area is probably the best with big red brick warehouses, restaurants and lots of water.

With the weather getting better this is a great place to hang out with loads of bars and places to eat down on the waterfront.

We went for a short time when in Liverpool for the day and unfortunately the weather was awful which didn't make for a good impression of the dock. We walked round quickly and i can imagine it would be a lot nicer in better weather. Shops and restaurants and museums to visit, plenty to do.

Although the Liverpool docks have been actively developed into a 'heritage' and leisure area, the docksides have not been 'tarted-up' badly. They retain much of the original bollards, etc, and still have a good maritime feel to them. The museums are excellent.
