The Collection at UA Gallery are great. Very engaging for kids. Staff are great and the exhibitions are interesting and entertaining. The kids backpacks went down very well.

Due to time constraints we only visited the Collection, which is basically archeological artefacts found around the city.
The I-guide was very useful and informative, although I did wonder sometimes if I had been given the children's version, due to the tone of some of the pieces.

The art gallery contains a broad range of artwork, so there is something to please every taste.
The museum contains many artefacts from Lincoln and Lincolnshire, and provides a very interesting summary of the long history of the region to compliment these exhibits. As Lincoln was an important centre this helps gain a better understand of the history of England....

We hadn't planned on seeing the gallery, but on our route down from visiting other attractions at the top of the hill, decided to have a look as it is free to visit. Really well laid out with helpful information and some interactive bits, the archaeology section was more interesting to us. Interesting artefacts too.
Both the Usher and The Collection are worth a visit. Interesting museum section, terrific art gallery with regular changing exhibitions and national touring events. The lectures and films in the lecture theatre are always interesting and varied.
There are several eye-catching items for a quick visit and much to dwell on if you have time to spare. The staff are helpful and point you towards the key exhibits.
A museum of local life told through archeology, fascinating detail, intelligent displays, and it is free. The cafe is an excellent place to 'rest' and have a drink and snack whilst reading the newspaper.
I went specifically to view the 18th Century Frocks and Finery exhibition but was also delighted to discover other artifacts like the Fiskerton long boat were also on display. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit and fact it was free was a bonus. Well done Lincolnshire County Council

From our visit to The Collection and Usher Gallery, we can only describe the curation as displaying a spectacular lack of customer awareness. It was so...
