We visited for lunch last week, we have been there before and had enjoyed the food. Unfortunately the service was very poor, drinks overpriced and not very tasty. We had ham baguettes, while they looked great on display, the bread was hard and doughy inside, there was no butter a small slice of thick ham which looked good but tasted... More

Good day out for parents, enjoy the gardens, browse the shop & enjoy a delicious meal in the restuarant/cafe. All food locally sourced, worth a visit.

Fabulous house, great restaurant- everything is homemade. Lovely shop too, excellent quality and gardens to walk round. What more can you want out of the English countryside?

We just loved Doddington Hall. A truly stunning, relaxing place to be. The house was beautiful and the gardens stunning. We were so impressed with the well maintained walled garden and the relaxed informality of the gardens as a whole. Irises, rhododendrons, azaleas, the Judas tree and much more were all in flower. The café and farm shop were very... More

One of the best Elizabethan homes to visit. Free audio guide which helps you understand part of the history of the house and the gardens are beautiful.

Only called here to see the deli & shop on our way back from Lincoln, but were very pleased we did! Layout is thoughtful & spacious, with the deli-counter taking centre stage (as it should!) vast variety of quality branded supplies to choose from, with eye catching displays everywhere you looked, special mention to the cheese counter - and to... Just loved the gardens here so much - gorgeously done and incredibly pretty. The house is impressive too, but the garden is the main draw.

I've been twice now to Doddington Hall. Before my first visit I was very excited by the website, the photos looked great. It is a breathtaking building and the surrounding converted barns are beautiful. The deli looks great too. The outside stall was filled with well priced good looking produce. I had a cheese scone in the cafe .. it... More

We are story to hear about the disappointment you experienced when visiting our cafe. We do accept that some cheese scones were undercooked the day you came and they were removed from sale later. Our Executive Chef is currently working on a new improved recipe for them with a view to preventing any potential problems with cooking times. Our Welbeck... More

We have been aware of this lovely building for some years and knew that it was occasionally open to the public so were delighted when on a recent visit to Lincoln we found that we had coincided with an open afternoon - Wednesdays from 1pm - 5pm. (also open on Sundays and Bank Holidays). What a delight! Visible from the... More
