liked the tower and all of blackpool pleasure beach was fantastic we had a ride on a tram which i thought was amusing and cheap the horse and carts were fun my grandson went on the donkeys which he loved we also had a go on hook the duck and managed to win a giganitc teddy bear for my grandson
spent saturday in blackpool with my grandsons,the front is great but,whats happened to the toilets and shelters.we found ourselfs running for cover to the nearest shop to shelter from the rain.once upon a time there were shelters all along the front ,where have they gone.and found it hard to find public toilets that were much needed with four young grandchildren...

Blackpool is a great place for both young and old, plenty to do, lots of it undercover if the weather is bad. The new promenade and trams are brilliant, the work done on them is a real improvement.
Went to see the Illumination and all the hype I had heard of Blackpool as being a great place to visit. A street of acrcades, novelty shops, and over priced attractions. Admission charges to walk on to a pier, walk through an amusement park, even if one was not interested going on rides. May be a highlight for kids and...

I have been to Blackpool virtually every year for nearly 40 years & I have used the trams just about every time I have been there.
I was saddened to hear that apart from a few heritage trams they will be disappearing & new "supertrams" will be taking their place.

I can highly reccomend the trams. The conductors helped us on and off the trams with a smile on their faces. Apparently next year (2012) there will be wheel on and off trams, at the moment there is a large step up. The staff are so helpful and cheery. Well worth a ride.
Don't get me wrong Blackpool is a great place, or should I say, it was.
Go to Blackpool for the "lights" this year and you will be disappointed, the golden mile has become the Golden 500 yards! Also if you fancy a trip on a tram to Fleetwood and Cleverly ...forget it, no tramlines this September! They have more building...

Having been to blackpool before, I found everybody you come in to contact with have been very helpfull, but the town needs tidying up.
Dont like the idea you have to pay to go into the fairground.
