This place is great on a sunny day to take the family for a picnic and the area is very big you can do a variate of sports or even play in the maze. there was little to no rubbish on the grass and walking on the walks at the of the city to great great views.
It's like a garden filled with Scene kids. They all congregate around the band stand and huff paint thinner. Stay away from those kids and you'll be alright.
I think it is lovely and a pretty walk through to the station from the bus station. The only thing I do not like is the down and outs that hang around the benches sometimes.
Walking along the walls into the garden was a nice way to spend a relaxing Sunday. Climbing up the mound was well worth it to see the view over the city.
Nice gardens with exciting play area but usually overrun with drunks and 'chavs' that bring this beautiful place down. If only it was managed more by security/police. I would recommend it but if overrun with hooligans try west gate gardens.
Walk parts of the City wall, infomation boards enroute, take the path up to the top of the Mound, lovely gardens and Bandstand

There is a cultural aspect to the gardens in the Peace Walk and historical elements in the monument on the mound as well as a bandstand and fountain. The scenery was beautiful - when walking to the monument on the mound...
