Fantastic place to park up and start exploring the new National Park. Walk east towards the iconic Jack and Jill windmills or east towards Lewes. You won't be disappointed in either direction.

A great place just to stand and look north at the view towards London. With the changes in the seasons and the weather the view is never the same. Great base to set off for a walk in either a easterly or westerly direction. Can get very bust at weekends.

A fantastic spot, one of the best in Sussex. Now part of the South Downs National Park and has brilliant views north over the Weald to the North Downs. Walk along the ridge of the Downs in either direction for a bracing walk. Be aware that the car park (Nat Trust) closes at dusk or take the bus up to... More

If your the out doors type of person and love nothing more to get out and about in the fresh air, then you wont be disaapointed here. I love exploring different walks with my dog. We go for miles, taking in the views. I consider myself very fortunate to live on the Southdowns, such a beatiful place to explore.

If you find the Devil's Dyke too busy, Ditchling Beacon is a quieter option but every bit as accessible by car. Like the Dyke the views are fabulous and walks excellent. Also like the Dyke there is a £2 parking charge except for those with a National Trust membership (and up to date car sticker in the window)
