I think this is just the usual small railway station about a block from the seaside. It is a long walk into the centre, but a nice walk.

I was in Devon on my motorbike and it had become very windy so a trip on the Steam train to KIngswear was in order. I bought the combined ticket with the ferry to Dartmouth. The view along the coast was great and then I spent a couple of hours exploring Dartmouth before catching a later train hime.

Well maintained with most of the original architectural features retained. Platforms and exterior have a feeling of space. Pleasing construction using local limestone. 'Cosy' signal box sited on Paignton-bound platform.

Not a great place to be honest. The foot bridge smells terrible and it is not alway manned. In windy days you'll prefer dying, but In sunny days it is nice to be here. This station overlooks the beach and there are sea gulls here, a pretty nice spot to wait for the train. I love the station for all... More

Lovely old station, with good information about train times. We tried the station cafe, where we had the best egg and chips ever! And it was very reasonably priced.

It's a railway station - what more is there to say? There is a good cafe - independently run - which is the highlight I guess.

Love the olde style station, with it's old fashioned style. I was half expecting the Orient Express to turn up, with a murder so foul. Clean and sprig, a little far from the Town centre , nonetheless, handsome setting and a wonderful arrival.

The station was like going back in time. As it was adjacent to the Grand Hotel, we popped in several times during our visit.
