It is worth the short climb up to the Island to see the sweeping views of St Ives Bay, the little chapel and coastguard lookout.

We walked here from the town but if you were not steady on your feet you might be better parking in the well located car park. As with all car parks in St Ives the payment structure is expensive but that is another story! I enjoyed the gentle walk up the hill to St Nicholas Chapel and the panoramic view... More

Good little spur to walk around. We went on a sunny but very windy day. It was amazing to watch the waves crash against the rocks and stand up high in the winds and look out to sea. We really enjoyed our walk around here, will do it again before we leave!

Worth wandering around here, about 15 minutes from the town centre. This 'island' is really just a spur of land heading out to sea, separating the Porthmeor and Porthgwidden beaches. As such it presents good views over both beaches and further along the coast.
