We parked in the bottom car park and then climbed to the Theatre by the steps cut into the rock from the beach (not for the faint-hearted) but it was definitely worth it. The setting, and the story of how it was inspired, is amazing. I would live to go to a performance there. It is worth mentioning that the... More

We decided to visit minack to experience the outdoor theatre. Midge Ure happened to be the artist on stage that particular night. Incredible artist, just him with his guitar, he put on a fantastic show. We were lucky with the weather, no rain or wind, a bit cool but nothing to complain about. The venue is stunning, all the staff... More

Saw Midge Ure at The Minack this week, not only was he excellent but the setting was absolutely fantastic, very lucky with the weather, a great sound, an appreciative crowd and the only concert I have ever been to that had bats flying by and someone paddling past in a canoe. The Minack is a great place to visit anyway... More

We went here to see Nerina Pallot this week the theatre on arrival was on top of a cliff with breath taking views, the staff in the car park were friendly and very helpful and this continued throughout the rest of the theatre staff on entrance and sitting too! The theatre is unique and truely worth a visit, its quirky... More

Had seen this before on TV programs, but you don't get the sense of size or the work that was done to get it to the stage it now is. Unique.

The Minack theatre is located on the south coast of the Penwith Peninsular (the 'bump' at the westernmost part of Cornwall). Follow the A30 past Penzance, and turn left onto the B3283. This is just about the mildest part of mainland Britain, and the gardeners have taken full advantage of the climate. This makes the Minack a rare combination of... More

The day we visited happened to be a sunny, still, day. My breath was taken away when looking down towards Porthcurno and the turquoise sea whilst also being able to visit a location such as The Minack; a truly humbling location - to think of all of the work which went into building the theatre at the hands of one... We visited here on a day when the weather wasn't great. This did not make it any less beautiful. The location itself is breathtaking and the history of minack just adds to your experience. Highly recommend stopping for a bite to eat in their cafe. The view I'd amazing
