Even though the weather was only reasonable the place was buzzing. Had an excellent cream tea. Not knowing the area the car parks could have been signed better.

Been to Fistral many times, even though not a local or evenCornish, and it will always be my favourite beach! Clean, safe, plenty of room & not overly expensive in the shops. The life guards do a good job keeping the surfers, swimmers and body boarders seperate so you dont have to worry & they also do their jobs as... More

If you are into surfing, this beach will be ideal for you. This beach is pretty cool for a UK beach, lots of places to relax, it is sandy, and a cave near by to take good pics. There are bars and restaurants near by, and also the train station is near by too, just in case you need a... More

+ Beautiful golden sand & waves, dog friendly beach - If you have food with you or around you watch out for the sea gulls, they really have no fear when it comes to food

Lovely stretch of sand in Newquay, which has been somewhat spoiled by too many fish and chip shops, bars, cafes and the like. However the sand is clean, the surfers are enthusiastic, the kids are ecstatic...it's like going back in time. Stay at the Headland Hotel and admire it as the sun sets. Good stuff (though for really good surfing... More

The waves were amazing and watching the surfers in and out and just having a good time was brilliant. The beach itself was clean and lovely just to idle a few hours.

We stayed at the lovely re-furbished Fistral Beach Hotel, and do not have a bad word to say about it - a great place to stay, 20 minutes walk to the town centre.

Good beach good waves but too many people about. After getting a surfboard in the head in the crowds we started looking for quieter beaches
