It's such a shame that a community health centre should be so outdated. The Northgate Arena sports centre is a little jaded but was well used and is close to Chester City Centre.

It is OK as a swimmimg pool although I find it rather expensive and car parking is not very good. Easy to get to if a visitor to the City.

The first floor facilities for table tennis are abysmal. Many of the nets are in need of replacing and there are insufficient barriers between the tables. The Northgate Arena is a very clean venue with plenty of fitness facilities. The interior is slightly dated now with the internal decor at the swimming pool resembling something from the mid-1980s. Regardless, it serves its purpose well and the staff are very friendly. It is a better fitness venue with more facilities available than the EPIC in Ellesmere Port
