We went to Chester Zoo and had a fantastic day, loads to see and do and could easily have spent more time there. It is all outside so much better to go when warm and sunny, lots of places to eat and have yummy ice cream. So many different animals and photo opportunities. There is a lot of walking involved... Absolutely fantastic zoo almost overwhelming the amount on offer, animals all seem to have excellent enclosures and everything looks well kept. Only complaint is they automatically add on a £3 donation to ur ticket price which you then have to specify if you want it taking off whichno one is gonna do as you would look mean. Thus meant it... had a brilliant day out even the weather was good. Lovely zoo very well set out and easy to find your way around. Everywhere was very clean and the animal enclosures very spacious and well looked after. Go to tourist information in chester and get discounted entry tickets, zoo well worth a visit.

Spent today at Chester Zoo with my husband. Easy to find and easy parking. The admittance fee was £20 per adult which seems a bit expensive but the zoo costs a lot of money to stay open and care for the animals. There are lots of information boards and explanations of the conservation work the zoo is taking part in.... More

Spent a day at Chester Zoo and can understand why this is currently the no1 attraction in Chester. This is the best zoo we have visited in the UK - the original vision 'a zoo without bars' in definitely in evidence with some really creative viewing areas put in place to see the animals. Animals seem really well cared for,... More

Went to Chester Zoo by rail from Liverpool. Initally we intended to disembark at Bache but had to be bused to Chester railway station when there was an incident that meant the train was halted at Hooton Station. At Hooton we enquired about the bus leaving Bache station for the zoo and was told by a station official that there... More
