So relaxing to go around Chester by walking on the walls. The best way to dicover as well. You will be surprise by the history of this city.

The wall is a great walk around the city and I would put it in the "must" category. Make sure to walk the entire wall, it is not that long but a splendid way to see the city.

tacky surrounds in part,various modernisations of the gates over the centuries,but still a good reason for a walk.

walls are interesting to walk round. recommend the walls smartphone app for adding a bit of amusement. no charge , so great value. Takes a couple of hours, but does involve a few sets of stairs

Fantastic views over city and wonderful stop off points on the way to go down to river and shops well worth doing

Very interesting to walk around, ttake an hour then go shopping. Or maybe visit Chester Zoo. Not an attraction to go to specifically unless you are on a school trip.

A very pleasant easy walk with many excellent stop off points. The river views in particular are lovely and the 'stepped locks' fascinating. Allow 90 minutes foir an easy stroll -summer Sundays are best.

Walking the Wall gives one a really good view of some of the main attraction of the city. Really recommended on a nice dry day.

Its a lovely walk round when its available. Unfortunately there are repairs currently underway but its still an enjoyable historical experience.
