Chiltern Open Air Museum is a delight. There are plenty of lovingly restored old building to see and explore, providing a fascinating walk through history. Hands-on activities for children and adults to enjoy and informative displays bring the museum to life and every time we've been there's been something new to enjoy. Over the years I've visited with four generations... More

45 acres of beautiful Bucks countryside and woodland with a wide selection of reconstructed genuine historic buildings. This is a fascinating place and can be enjoyed even in the worst of weather (we had torrential rain). Great for children as there are lots of hands-on opportunites to see how things work. We had an enjoyable afternoon walking around this historic museum featuring buildings through the ages. There were some well presented exhibits and live demonstrations on the day we visited. Children activities were also available.A terrific concept with some ongoing development taking place. Russell & Jane Australia More

It is fascinating to look at all the different buildings and there are often other activities going on. We have visited with family of all ages and there seems to be... More

I belong to the Herts & Essex Architectural Research Society and we took a coachload to the Museum last Sunday. We are based in Loughton, which is near the London border, and we were amazed to find that the Museum was so near to us - less than an hour's drive away. The Museum is a collection of old buildings... More

Went with a group of buildings enthusiasts. A very interesting, well labelled, and well restored set of historic buildings, in a beautiful setting, cared for and staffed by volunteers. A lot to see: enough for a full day out. Activities and things of interest for all the family. More

I do not know why they are charging that much money, £8.00 for walk round the bushes. Its a total rip off. More
