The cost outweighed the experience.. Parking is poor. Very little to see or do. It is not set up for people with mobility problems and toilet facilities are lacking.
I enjoyed my time at Clevedon Court, beautiful and full of history. Luckily it was sunny the day I went and this really added the the picturesque quality to the place, I had a look around the grounds and inside, Both really enjoyable
I'm a NT member and love visiting NT properties. This one is charming but doesn't have as much to offer as some of the bigger properties. Worth a visit if you're in the area but maybe not one to design a whole day trip around.
This is certainly not one of the national trusts grandest properties but it merits a visit (we were there for about an hour including a walk around the garden) if you are in the area. The family are sill in residence which mean portions of the house are sealed off and it isn't open all week.
It is many years since I first visited Clevedon Court but when I visited recently I was delighted to find that it is still as charming and unchanged as ever. I took my 3 year old daughter to Clevedon court yesterday as I've driven past it so many times and always wondered what was inside! The facilities are not as abundant as at other NT properties but I found this to be part of it's charm, no pressure from my daughter to buy something from a gift shop as there... More
OK so I am a little biased. I help with car parking at Clevedon Court (NT), its one of Somerset's little gems dating back to the 14th cent. The house is still a family home and the gardens are a delight. Just muinutes from the M5 makes it an ideal spot for a short break for those travelling to or... More
Well presented historical building. Not too big - not too small -just right! We really enjoyed our visit - all staff and volunteers are helpful and knowledgeable. Limited facilities but adequate for the property. Followed our visit with a walk along the front at Clevedon.
This house is managed by the National Trust and the Elton family have been in continuous occupation for centuries. It is not that attractive or large, but unusual in design. It has an interesting glass collection. The terraced gardens need more work on them - but .. you can make the top walk on a nice day, their are good... More
