We visited the aquarium on rainy day and spent about a half hour viewing the tanks. As other reviewers noted it is small and fairly expensive. Overall it was interesting and we were able to learn the names of some of the creatures we saw in tidal pools on the beach. I suspect this is probably a more satisfying experience... More

Often aquariums have an assortment of sea life from all over the place. Not so here, all the exhibits are from the local area, and are released at the end of the season. A really great idea, and so refreshing to get to see local sea life up close. The staff are very enthusiastic and chatted to us about the... More

Our 19th month-old granddaughter loved it! Hands on and I think it is the only catch-and release aquarium in Canada!

We have been to many aquariums and this as the best. The staff were very knowledgeable and attentive. It was totally hands on which was so cool especially for the kids. Small space but with lots crammed in and all with fresh water on tap for the sea animals!

What a wonderful place on the bay to touch and watch some wonderful ocean creatures. We were lucky enough to be there during feeding time!

Nice little aquarium with loads of touching pools which were great for the little kids and this big kid. I would like to have had more information available by the tanks, but the aquarium is new and will grow into that.

It was neat because some of the things in the place you could touch, but I feel like it was a little expensive.

The size of the aquarium is on the small side, but the are many sea creatures packed into such a small area. Excellent touch tanks, octopus, crab, sea stars, scallops, fish, etc. the staff is very knowledgable and will answer all your questions! We spent over an hour there, well worth the trip!

I'll start by saying that if I was to rate it by size I would give it a 3. But once to dive further into the aspects of the aquarium I give it a 5. Firstly, all the creatures are captured and then released every year, this means that the creatures do not only know the aquarium life. Secondly, you... More

It's a good place to go if you're in Ucluelet and looking for something to do indoors on a rainy day. The touch tanks were really cool, but the the admission price is steep considering the size of the place. I was forcing myself to slow down and re-visit tanks so we were there for about 20 minutes. Otherwise, we... More
