The main museum is chock-a-block with all sorts of items that were used fifty to one hundred years ago. We were there during the Heritage Days festival in February. Taxidermied animals, weapons, crockery and cutlery, hand crank wringer washing machines, furniture, clothing, snow shoes, jewellery, churns, tea sets, lots of photos..... I love this kitchy little place. So much to see. Lots of history here :) Make sure you tract down Marl, the curator.

Wonderful museum! loaded with Alaska Highway history, this place puts Fort Nelson on the map :) Nice campground located next door.

Small but fun, only open for summer months last time I was there. Also had a great collection of old vehicles! Great staff :)

Great little museum. Very small but lots of outdoor displays and GREAT old cars! The staff were great and very informative. Thank you marl brown for the great work!

Stop here - you wont regret it! Its full of interesting, quirky, unusual, unexpected "stuff". Its difficult to explain as there is so much there to see and it doesnt really fit into any particular theme, but its well worth the visit. Do go into the Hudson House and the loggers cabin (warmest place to be on a cold day!)... More

If you want to see historical items about Ft Nelson and the Alaska Hi-way then it's worth the stop in.
