This place was neat to visit but I found quite expensive for how small it is. The gift shop is quite nice though

Not sure what the title of this review is about, but we do have a great Megalodon Shark Jaw that is 9.5 ft wide and 6.5 ft tall - it is awesome. Our museum entrance fees are still only $6.00, which is a bargin! Our museum facility is 6,000 sq ft and full of activities, information, real fossils and the...

We scheduled our trip to drumheller so that we would be able to visit fossil world on April 19. We stayed a extra night in drumheller so we would be able to visit. On the morning of April 19 I saw that website had changed their opening date to April 20. We stopped by the location to see the opening...

Customer was not able to visit due to safety issues. Her story to me was she had just drove that morning to Drumheller to visit Fossil World and had checked the website that morning. Website had been updated but after she left to come to Drumheller. I gave her more than $54 in passes to compensate for our being closed....

A small museum focussed on the display of fossils from USA and elsewhere - but not local ones as Alberta forbids all museums other than the Tyrell from displaying them. Information abounds and an animatronic dinosaur keeps two beady eyes on you at all times. Great for youngsters who can "pan" for fossils, stones and other minerals.
We drove a really long way, lookIng forward to going here, only to find out they are not open on Tuesdays or Wednesdays,. What a huge disappointment!
We appreciate our many returning customers and we are sorry you found our facility closed on the day of your return. Our hours of operation are clearly posted on our website. It is customary in Drumheller for tourism businesses to operate on a reduced schedule in the off season.

My kids have been on several field trips to Fossil World and they have always enjoyed themselves. I went with them for the first time this past weekend and I'm sort of undecided. The kids had a good time "mining" for minerals and "digging" for fossils, but the admission price ($20/child for museum, mining and fossil dig) seems a little...

We had so much fun! It was awesome for the kids, the staff were helpful and knowledgeable. We have small children and they enjoyed it 100%. We will return again and will spread the word.
found this place to be overpriced and the overall value of admission to be poor. It is aimed at kids but the staff do not seem very kid friendly. We were here last year as well and thought maybe we just were there on a bad day but this year proved much the same. The gift shop has allot to...

Although the animatronic T-Rex was cool, and the kids got to 'mine' for minerals, 'dig' for fossils, and climb the fossil-tower, the admission price was steep. I paid for a dual pass for 2 of my kids, and a triple pass for one (there are 3 main activities in addition to general admission), and I got in for free... total...

If you have kids, you must see this. The robotic Dino makes this a must see stop in itself, not to mention the hands on stuff for the kids....like the fossil dig, wall climbing and mineral mining. They also sell real fossils in the gift shop (at a price, but they come with a letter of Authenticity).
If you plan to go here, go before you go to the Tyrell Museum because after going to the Tyrell Museum, it is likely going to be a disappointment. For $30, a family can spend an entire day at Tyrell. For $24, a family will find it hard to stay longer than an hour at Fossil World. My husband was...
