7 minutes driving through Okotoks and to Hwy 7, we pulled into the Chinook Honey Company. Very educationaland fun, bees are amazing. Our three year old son loved watching the bees and seeing the Queen. We tried all of their different honeys and our favourite is the "Sweet Clover". Now if that wasn't enough they have a Meadery. Chinook Honey Company is an apiary nestled in the Calgary foothills. The honey boutique includes many honey made treats including ice cream, jams, jellies, sauces and body care products and apitherapy items. A live observation hive gives an insight into the fascinating world of bees and helpful staff will gladly answer any questions. You can also enjoy mead (honey wine) tasting and learn how this ancient beverage is made. Organized tours available.

We decided to spend a day in calgary on our "summer vacation" because it was too cold in banff and cloudy to see anything. We searched for things to do and this place popped up.
