Amazing, and will keep you fit! The scenes are just fantastic once you get 2/3rds of the way up. Can get quite scary on the final climb of the mountain, Don't need any gear though to get to the top.

Hiking The Chief is for the advanced hiker as you have to be in good physical condition to handle the incline which is an extreme cardio workout. The views from the top are so rewarding!

This is a grind-like hike on an extremely well maintained trail. The exposed granite on the top and the view of the mountains and Howe Sound - incredible. I imagine that it could be quite dangerous when wet. Our dog, a big strong Samoyed, had a few challenges going up to the first peak, but nothing we couldn't overcome without... More

Worth the effort since it's tougher then your average walk in the park. But, great views and an excellent way to spend a beautiful morning!

My wife and I decided to hike the Chief because so many people recommended it as a good day hike. And it is! But we were surprised how tough it was compared to the on-line reviews. We are both middle aged but in good shape. We were on a leisurely pace but it still took five hours to start from... More

The hike was not as challenging them the Grouse Grind because it is more gradual until you get to the top. Family friendly, peak 1. Peak 2 requires lots of scrambling and use of chains to reach the top. Its fun, but the view was only ok. You mostly see the downtown Squamish area. It is mostly the hike up... More

We had a great day hike experience up "The Chief". It was crowded...but it was well worth the effort and the uphill climb.

we took to the trail to the frist peak with our 8 year old friend on a beautiful Septemeber afternoon. This trail is worth the hike up there are a couple of ladders and some chins to access the peak my only suggestions is make sure you have good treads on your shoes the rocks can be challenging with good...
