Steveston village is ok for what could be fantastic... only a few shops scream out come visit again, not enough to visit unless we live there. The sales assistants rarely care for anything else than how money we are "going to drop". They do have a few interesting buildings, only a few. OK so shoot me.

The Wharfs & area take one back about 100 years, when one of the largest fleet of fishboats were bringing in the fresh catch from the deep. Today, Canada's largest still-active fleet brings in the fresh catch daily for off-the-boat sale, or local consumption in the many eateries close by. So try the fish & chips or seafood entrees on... We're only a half hour away from Steveston but don't get out very often. It's a shame because it's a beautiful place. Great stores to buy sweets and knick knacks. Best of all TONS of great restaurants. Been to Tapenade twice and tried the Steveston Seafood House yesterday. Both excellent choices. I'd recommend going during the day as the shops... More

you can walk around steveston and absorb the past . Head farther down towards garry point. Here you will find the the old cannery, great fish and chips, the village has lost much of it's charm as the city has allowed large housing developments to cramp the once open view of the river. Nice little park area to the south... More

Located on the South Arm of the Fraser River, what was originally a fishing village has now grown into a bustling local & tourist area. Abundance of small eateries & great Fish & Chips on the dock. Fresh fish can be purchased off the boats on the weekends. There's a large park at Garry Point that is great for kids... More

We bike there, bring international visitors, family visits, walks, all on a regular basis. So much to do and has one of our favourite bakeries, ``The Sweet Spot`that lives up to it`s name, not to mention the neat stores and restaurants. Best greek food, fish n chips, pizza....I could go on and on.

Great place, but the weekend I went there were way too many people. Pretty place though. Reminds me of a summer vacation village - loved how preserved it is.

Seveston was used to be a fishing village, now it is part of the City of Richmond not far from the airport in Vancouver. People, many Chinese and Asians, come to Steveston to buy fresh fish, shrimps, and sea urchins. There are a lot of restaurants in Steveston, serving fish & chips and seafood dishes. Steveston is a good spot... More

Wonderful view of active fishing vessels and ability to purchase fresh fish off the dock. The variety of vessels makes for great pictures.

Fun outing between events. The area is quaint and if you have the facilities to cook, the fish off the boats is great. Fish and chips for lunch is also fantastic.
