It’s a go-to spot for cyclists and hikers with miles of nature trails that weave through old rubber plantations and seaside ecosystems no longer found on the main island. Get there from Changi Point Ferry Terminal via a traditional bumboat for $2.50 a seat – captains will leave only when all seats are sold or if you pay the difference. « less

This will certainly be one of the highlight of my visit to Singapore! A great day trip for the ones looking for either a peaceful and quiet place or for the ones like me looking for some real adventure. All you need here is a bike and you're all set for the day!!! You can rent one on arrival for... More

Just a short jetty ride out of Singapore and what a world of difference. Love the rustic ambience of this place, its relaxing pace, and its beautiful quarries. Rent bicycle to explore the whole island. The terrains can be challenging for some. Or pay for a van transport for a faster access to places like Chek Jawa. If visiting with... More

Take the ferry from Changi Ferry Terminal for a great escape to Singapore's un-developed island. Rent a beat-up bike for a great biking experience through the forested-jungle paved roads. Very quiet and peaceful during the week...(don't know about the week-ends). Good food at the one open restaurant when we were there.

Pulau ubin is a short getaway by boat to enjoy some kampong style feel and scenery. You can try cycling to enjoy the breeze or simply walk about freely.

Pulau Ubin was a highlight in our time in Singapore. We drove to the ferry terminal and took the ferry over. The island was simply fantastic! We saw spiders, iguanas, and plenty of other living things which I can't remember the names of. If you have the time when in Singapore then simply go there. Maybe rent a bike and... More

We wanted to get there early but were in lazy holiday mode. We arrived at 1030. It was such a relief to escape the busy, frantic and slightly tacky Sentosa Island and we weren't disappointed. There were only a few people around and the cycling was easy. Unfortunately We didn't have a lot of time to check out the more... More

Pulau Ubin was probably one of my favorite day trips in Singapore. It was full of beautiful, untouched wildlife. It was a mere $2.50 to take a bum boat from the Changi Point Ferry Terminal to Pulau Ubin, which is just a 15 minute ride. There are several places to rent bikes and kayaks. We chose the local resort as... More

You can get here very cheaply by taking the green line MRT to Tanah Merah (the station where you change for the Changi Airport sub-line) and then following the signs to the number 2 bus which finishes its journey next to the ferry terminal. On the weekend at least you only have to wait a few minutes max to get... More

We took a boat here from Changi ferry terminal - you can get the boat for $2.50 per person but there needs to be 12 people for it to go and it seemed like it was a quiet day and we didn't want to hang around waiting so we paid $30 for a private ferry. My father who had lived... More

This was one of our highlights of our trip to Singapore and it was a nice break from the frenetic shopping. We took a cab from Orchard St (about 30") to the Changi Ferry Terminal. The small ferries take off as soon as they have 12 people and we only waited about 10" for the short trip. We rented rusty... More
