I was visiting family in Quebec City and my cousin brought me here and my eyes popped out of my head when I saw the selection and quality of the goods for sale here!! The Neuville corn hits close to home as my family's history is rooted in this small farming community alongside the St. Lawrence River! There is a... More

It's November 2012 and deliciously chilly outside. I have read on tripadvisor that the Marche du Vieux-Port is open all year long and is a fun place to buy fresh flowers and produce. I have also read that they have a wonderful and inexpensive creperie inside. Well, I tried them out on a Friday afternoon, location is close to the... More

I found this to be a charming local market with tons of gorgeous local products. We bought a liter of maple syrup for about $14 (!), some local smoked salt, a chocolate and pear croissant, a huge basket of super sweet local strawberries, apple butter, a salmon burger, cafe au lait, preserves, cheese, honey, a big piece of local fudge... This is a very nice place to taste and buy some typical things of Quebec. I enjoyed to visit the Marche.

If you are looking for local Québec grown foods or products, this is a good place. The market is very clean. There is a wide range of foods. We bought some honey from one vendor. The stall had many varieties of honey unlike a grocery store with just clove honey. We bought buckwheat pollinated honey. You can get luncheon foods,... More

For one thing, the prices are more reasonable than in other parts of Vieux Quebec. Also, most of the food and liquor is local, with the notable exception of the little store at the back that sells foreign foods and exotic salts and peppers. The people are very friendly and the space is clean and well-lit (as were the toilets).... More

It was a bit of a rainy morning in Quebec City so we wandered down to the port by the train station to discover a lovely indoor market where local farmers sold everything from vegetables to wine. While the weather was not conducive for us to picnic this would have been the perfect spot to accumulate the ingredients for a... More

Great indoor market in a tent like atmosphere. Vendors mostly fruits and vegetables. But also a cheese place, fresh pasta and sauces, breads, and local pies. Really fun to walk around. Anf it is paid parking but the first hour is free if you buy something(they take your word at the parking exit). We got fresh, home made pies, baguettes, lunch... More
