You have to visit this place if you want to see the Basilica of Notre Dam. A small square with the Basilica on one side, a statue in the middle and concrete jungle all around. I don't know why I am wasting my time writing the review of this place.

Its a tiny square in front of the Notre-Dame. We saw an excellent guitar player. I could see taking a picnic out there, but other than that its not extremely interesting.
Not sure if it's worth separating this square from the larger picture of Old Montreal. This is a main square for sure but keep walking down the side streets as well all the way to the port.
Is located in front of the Cathedral of Notre Dame. Is just a square. Is beaultiful, clean and crowded of people doing everything. I suggest to read first the history to make the experience more attractive.
There are many attractions for every budget. Jacques quarter n the old harbor are the main attractions with both parks n if you are lucky street plays n musicians and even festivals during summer
It reminds you of Europe with the nice sculpture ad benches to sit on...what they've done to the place is beautiful and peaceful. A nice place to sit and relax for a while
This is a very scenic and interesting historical spot with lots of photo opportunities. We are glad we stumbled upon it.
GO there is historical information and the location is so nice.
This square is one of the most important areas of the Vieux-Montreal. Around this “Place” there are nice and important buildings like the Banque de Montreal and Notre-Dame. Two of the streets near Place d’Armes are Rue St-Jacques (is like a part of Wall Street) and Rue Notre-Dame (full of stores, specially for turists).

THEY (CITY ? PROVINCE ?) actually it is our own $$.. so: WE have spent +/- a couple of millions revamping Place d'Armes. Nice, very nice, but I miss the flower kiosk, and all the flowers ((including mature trees, hostas, etc.). So far, now they only have benches and trees. HOPING they will get the fontain going soon !!
