We visited awhile back but found this to be a real gem in Hamilton. An amazing display of steam era and the old waterworks of Hamilton. Cool train rides around the grounds for kids (old and young ones)

Not into machinery? Then how about a trip back in time? Picture Dundurn Castle with polished machinery inside...way cool!

I have to admit, when my husband suggested we drive an hour each way to see a Technology museum, I was less than enthused, and honestly thought I would be bored to tears. I am very happy to admit that I was wrong! The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, the tour was interesting and very informative. It was a great... More

And I thought this place was about trains -- this is all about the Hamilton Water works and it's beginnings......oldest Waterworks in Canada I believe....really educational but fun too!

The museum staff were knowledgeable and fun. There were activities for the children to participate in experiments. Educational and fun.

Visited this location many years ago and was surprised at all the wonderful information that I gathered as a result of that visit. Would recommend it to adults and kids especially for a out of class project.

Upon approaching the museum buildings we were struck by their architectural beauty. These are the original Hamilton Waterworks which supplied the city with clean drinking water from 1859 to 1910. Our young and knowledgable giuide gave us a very detailed and interesting tour, beginning with small models of steam engines and then upstairs to see the immaculately kept two 70-ton... More

We stopped in on the last tour of the day after a day of siteseeing. What at good choice. It was a great experience. There are two buildings to view and a few stairs to manuver. The guide was extremely knowlegeable...I thought she was an engineering student with all the demonstrations of steam engines and the workings of the waterplant,... More

stopped by on a really hot afternoon- so the health board said that the top floor was closed and we couldn't get the whole tour, but what we saw was still interesting. The guide was very well informed and the tour was great. Wish we had more time in the first building to just look at things ourselves. A who... More
