Let me first start by saying I was very very nervous to do this. I don't swim at all and am very uncomfortable on boats. My friend talked me into getting tickets during a moment of feeling very brave, and then I thought "What have I done? Now I have to get on that boat.." So the time came to... More

We were entertained while we waited to board. It was a great day to be out on the water ... warm and sunny. There were spectacular views as we headed out of the harbour. We had a lot of humpback whale sightings and they flipped their tales at us. It was an awesome sight! Our captain was always on the... More

I took my three grandchildren, ages 7 to 17, from Ontario on this tour in mid August and we're all very happy I did. The older kids and I were amazed by the scenery and the whales. My young grandson loved the boat ride and enjoyed seeing the whales and seabirds. We took lots of pictures and many fond memories... More

When we bought our tickets, we were told there was a 50/50 chance we'd see whales. It was clear when we got on the boat that there was no possibility of seeing whales. We saw five puffins, a sunfish, and some seagulls. It was nice to see the St. John's harbour, Signal Hill, and Cape Spear, from the water, but... More

Growing up on Maui, I've seen my fare share of whales, but never up close. This whale watching tour did just that and they kept us near the whales for about 1/2 hour so we could get our fill. There were a lot of puffins floating around our boat as well. Seeing New Foundland from the water perspective was amazing!... More

There are two tour operators who leave from St John's harbour on whale watching and wildlife boat tours. We chose Iceberg Quest ocean tours randomly and are happy we did. Their boat was well suited to the choppy seas and cooler weather we encountered, with sheltered interior spaces. The staff were just lovely - friendly and informative, and best of... More

Early July our company hired Iceberg Quest to do a private tour for our customers. Through many emails and conversations with Carolanne (who patiently catered to our many plan changes, Thank-You!!) we were able to book a private whale watching tour, suppered at Chafe's Landing in Petty Harbour (incredible service and the world's best pan fried cod), and was later... Our Captian and Crew made the trip. Thier knowledge of St. Johns, it's history, and the Sea makes this trip one I would recommend to all my friends who are going to visit Newfoundland.

Very experienced, knowledgeable crew who treated us very well and gave us an excellent whale watching tour. Up close experience with humpback whale, puffins, Cape Spear and St John's waterfront was well done and unforgetable.
