The beautiful scenery makes this a very special place to spend a day or more. My grandfather and great grandfather and 4 friends made the first ascent of Mt. Garibaldi in 1907 so it is a very special place for me and my family to visit and reflect on their accomplishment.

One of my favourite local hikes. It takes 2 - 4 hours to get from the base to the Garibaldi alpine region, but there is spectacular scenery (lakes, mountains, glaciers, natural dam) at the top. Bring some warm clothes - even in summer, just in case.

We went to Elfin lake from Squamish. It was a four hours hike. After 3 hours of climbing on a forest road we arrived at the plateau. There while walking we had a gorgeous view during our last hour of hiking. We were lucky to have a few guys organizing a flag catch and most of us played the game.... More

Can't beleive this isnt rated higher! Firstly ive never seen anything like the views and scenery ever in my life. I hiked garibaldi lake and it was something ill never regret. The hike up was easy-intermediate but worth it 100% and you can hike it in a day. Be mystified by crystal lakes and snow capped mountain glaciers. Take your... More

We did a day hike to Garibaldi lake and it was worth the walk to see the beautiful views of the lake. Note that this hike is not difficult, however it is long. If you are in good shape, it will take about 4.5 hours to walk back and forth. I also suggest that you bring a lunch and eat... More
