BOTH! Grouse Mountain is a beautiful tourist destination in summer and winter, the night skiing is a fantastic experience especially considering how close and accessible it is to the city centre. In the summer the grouse grind is a must for anyone with an inclination to hike. Walk up in time for the sunset (it's worth it!) then you can...

really liked here specially the suspension bridge going over the river canyon people were a bit nervous as it moves in the middle, but its safe you have to do it. try a buffalo burger before you go across.
No,we didn't, but we saw people who were going up to do just that!
Our stop here was part of our tour this day and 'WOW', even though we aren't skiers. A gorgeous day of warm sun and views and yes snow too. About 4mtrs in some area along the road to see the Bear Habitat. Missed the bears but...

The day was very sunny & hot & we had a clear view of the whole area. The snow on the mountain was thawing quite rapidly & the grizzly bears had just come out...

Took the sky tram (cable car) to the top of Grouse Mountain. Was a bit busy because it was the last skying day of the season. Saw two movies about the mountain and learned about the two rescued bears Grinder and Koola and their owl Tito. Then as we walked around the top of the mountain, we got to see...

We rode the gondola up the mountain, fortunate to have a beautiful sunny spring day. First time in snow shoes and well worth the 10 -15mins effort shuffle over to see the resident grizzly boys who had recently woken from their winter hibernation. They were still in their smaller winter enclosure which is apparently increased substantially during the warmer summer...

Yet another playground for outdoor pursuits. Well worth the visit. From downtown Vancouver we ferried, bussed the took the Cablecar. We trekked in the snow to see the two orphan bears and watched the skiers, snowboarders etc. There were some fascinating wood carvings, wonderful views, and good facilities. Unfortunately there was not enough time in the day to include the...
