Interesting ruins, beautiful area! My favorite was the water hole. So clear and pretty and very refreshing to swim in on a hot day! Only complaints: so hot, tons of Mosquitos, tour guide was hard to hear and understand.

The site doesn't compare to some of the larger Mayan sites close by. It's still worth the walk looking at the ruins and structure of the village....it's interesting as you visit more of the sites how they compare to each other...I still took lots of pictures and enjoyed the sunshine while doing so....
The ruins may be wonderful but after getting a little lost because of limited signage, we arrived to find that it was closed, no reason given.
We had a great tour through Grupo Autoprogreso during a stop on a Carnival cruis the last week of May. Ivan and Jerry were ouer guides and were very friendly and knowledgable. The tour bus was comfortable adn air conditioned. We could ealily have spent more time aat the ruins. Swimming in the Cenote was great, coold and refreshing. Driving...

Take the local bus from south of main Plaza and the bus will let you off to walk the short distance to the entrance.Wonderful site, nice walking around with one of the most sophisticated Museums in the Yucatan.

You could also carry a bottle of water, essential as it...

Although it is not so well known, it is worth a visit. Nice, educative, quiet, with a nice small museum.
Given its close proximity to Merida, we were determined to visit Dzibilchaltun and learn how to get around all at the same time. This was definitely a worthwhile quest. The site itself is relatively small. The history and the quality of the structures and cenote, as well as the wonderful guided tour, made it a perfect starting point for learning...

They are close to the city and the recent work done to the area has made them more attractive to both: local and turists.
We went here at the last minute thinking it would be a small, not so popular site. We were right that it was not as popular as the others, but it was definitely more interesting. You may not see as many huge, grand pyramids here, but there was definitely a lot of history and you learn more about how communities...
