The network of lavishly appointed rooms and chambers rival only the awesome view of Parque Chapultepec and Mexico City. The stain glass I find, as an artist, inspiring as well as the murals of goddesses. The highly manicured gardens are tranquil and green. The price is right, less than five dollars CAD. My favourite is the malachite room, featuring three... More

I visited Mexico City last week. A few things of the "have to see" were not really to my liking (e.g. the museum of anthropology - even though the building and gardens are great). so I was somewhat hesistant before going to the Castillo. But I am really glad I did it. Even on a Sunday (when Mexican citizans have... More

Very beautiful and stunning grounds. We spent a good portion of our day there. You cannot take in any water so drink up before you get ther. It cost a little over $5 per person.

A small cafe at the Castle would be nice. Or, at least close to it. Water bottles are not allowed, and water fountains are limited.

The whole park is really cool and the Castillo was worth the money to get in. I love old buildings and this one didn't disappoint. So much to see. My only complaint is that almost nothing is in English, and for a tourist destination it would have been nice. But we enjoyed it immensely . Would go back again, and... More

You MUST visit the Castle of Chapultepec, if for nothing else but to appreciate the view of beautiful Mexico City. The Castle contains some of the most beautiful stained glass work I have ever seen. This location holds so much history and even is worked into the U.S. Marine anthem. Research this place and then visit, you will be quite... More

This place does not only have a great view on the avenida de la reforma, but is a gem for history lovers. Emperor Maximilian and (belgian) Empress Charlotte lived here as well as President Porfirio Diaz and many others...

Situated in Bosque de Chapultepec at its highest point el Castillo offers wonderful views. Paseo de la Reforma was designed so that you can see right down it from the castle, with the angel of independence and panoramic views of the city its hard not to be impressed. The castle is interesting too, but like most of the museums in... More

If your close by go to the top and just take in the view - it is well worth the climb. Panoramic views of Mexico City, and a glimpse into history.
