Went out with Saul, a very experienced Oceanographer and guide, for another amazing day on the water on March 5th. We were treated to observing two Humpback Whales travelling with and training their calves....how sweet is that! In our midst we joyously found ourselves within a super-pod of at least 100 bottle nose dolphins and many, many babies....oh what a... More

My daughter and I joined Oscar and his crew for a most unforgettable day March 22. We were told first thing that we are going out on the ocean and of course we can never know what we might see as we are seeing these creatures in their natural habitat. We were treated by seeing a small pod of bottle... More

We didn't see any whales, so that was somewhat disapointing. It was still pretty interesting as we saw a seal eating a fish, and some rocks with a lot of sea birds. I think it makes a difference as to who your guide is. Our guide was not very talkative, even though she was knowledgable and answered questions when we... More

We had the most wondeful day possible. We saw the biggest pod of bottle neck dolphins that the guide had seen in a long long time. Most pods have 6 to 10 dolphins but for some reason, they were in this super pod formation and there were about 100 in this pod. They swam along side the boat with us.... More

Our experience was life altering. Being in a bottle-nose dolphins and viewing two humpback whale Cows with their calves, and a bull humpback was amazing! ONCA knows its it's business: well organised, knowledgable, and articulate in Engish and Spanish! I strongly reccomend this experience!

We recently went whale watching on our trip to Mazatlan in Feb, and boy was it worth the $87 we paid (make note the cab ride BACK to your hotel is NOT included)!! Our awesome captain Oscar, was great at locating and following the whales, and our tour guide (Sella?) she was very knowledgeable as well. We were on the... More

The trip was phenomenal! For the price, we got our value: we saw 3 humpback whales, a school of dolphins, and one lone sea lion. The humpback whales were most exciting, as they performed all of the characteristic actions (e.g. Fluke slapping, breaching, etc). However, what we saw was unusual for a whale watching trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable... More

Went whale watching in Mazatlan, January 10th....same boat as other post. We hoped to see a whale. On a previous tour to Stone island, they said we’d see sea lions…with an s. We saw one. Our whale tour was delayed twice, due to weather. And we heard of several getting sick on fishing trips. These are marine biologist, who take... More
