There are other things to do in Ao Nang but if it's raining Ya will entertain and enlighten you. We were prepared to go by riding our rented motor bikes but she picks you up and returns you. Panaeng and Massalman curries have been added to my favorites - I preferred green curry. I think there were 10 people in... More

My daughter & I chose the afternoon class with Ya, which ran from 1:00 - 6:00. Other than the fact that it is very HOT in the kitchen (open air with fans), this was a great time. Ya's personality & story-telling add to the adventure. We cooked so many different things & learnt lots about ingredients & methods. All the... More

They pick you up with there old minivan and take you to a hidden place in the forest nearby. Protected by treas and therefore not too hot you will find Ya's cookery school. Ya is a friendly and funny person and and excellent cook and trainer. We did about 10 Thai dishes, like green and red curry, spring rolls, soups,... More

Mrs Ya was very funny and made the class more enjoyable, the techniques to prepare the red, green and yellow curry was easy. I'm so happy I did it. Will recommend this place to anyone that wants to have a good time wile learning how to cook the basics of Thai food.

This was one of the best experiences that I had in Thailand! Mrs. Ya is a wonderful teacher and she knows her craft well. She does keep going from one dish to another like others have said but she will answer any questions that you ask. The price is downright dirt cheap compared to other classes at the hotels and... Although we are living in Ao Nang a friend came to visit and wanted to experience some Thai Cooking. I had seen the sign for Yah's cookery school in the way to Krabi so decided to book it. It was much cheaper than other cookery schools particularly ones advertised in hotels. The group we booked with were really good sports... More

This was a highlight of my visit to Ao Nang. Ya is delightful and funny. We cooked the best food that we had whilst in Krabi. It was a combination of 10 popular Thai dishes. It was kept simple and easy to follow, have lots of confidence to reproduce my favorite Thai. No complicated measurements during the practical and have... More

Join the cooking class through a local tour company, she highly recommened us Miss Yah's cookery school. We tried and we were so glad we did. I was going to go to the Market with Miss Yah but knowing that I have to get up at 6am in the morning I chose to give it a miss. The van come... More

Apart from taking the top of my finger off with the first "chop chop" of my hatchet we had a great time and even if I say so myself produced some really tasty food. (However Mrs Yah was leading us every step of the way). A great afternoon which has given us the skill to astound our friends with our... More

Such a fun afternoon. Make sure you go with a empty stomach (although you can take the left overs home)!! We learnt so much and were able to ask lots of questions. It's really well organised and you get to do all the preparation yourself and taste along the way. Plus you're able to adjust the dishes to your chilli... More
