We stumbled across the NAGB on our way from Graycliff to Ardastra Gardens and stopped in, for only $5 per person. The junkanoo exhibit was still going on, and for someone who has not had the opportunity to participate in Junkanoo, this was a great treat to see some of the costumes up close. There also was a section that... More

My wife and I attempted to visit the The National Art Gallery of The Bahamas, but when we entered the grounds an hour after opening all we found was an unmanned security post. We walked towards the main building expecting to find someone and instead saw a growling guard dog rushing down the steps towards us. I knew not to... More

The National Art Museum of the Bahamas is more of a gallery than a museum, but if you have a couple of hours, it is worth the visit. We were visiting Nassau on a cruise but were able to walk to the gallery without any problems. It is 2 blocks from the Government House and is a wonderful gallery. The... More

It was interesting going to this gallery as it is situated down the road from Government house and past GreyCliff restaurant. You walk into the sweeping entrance of the buidling (it used to belong to one of the British colonial families) and the entrance is just off to the side. The gallery doesn't have its own permanent collection so has... More

$5 to see about 30 modern works of art that are for sale. The dogs on the porch are not friendly, they bark and snarl if you come too close. Not worth the long walk to get there, go to the beach instead. More

I go to the Nassau every year and one place we visit every time we are there is the NAGB. It's a wonderful little museum that is very close to downtown Nassau, a couple of blocks up from Bay Street. They have a growing and changing permanent collection as well as 2 or 3 temporary exhibits that are always interesting... More
