The waters at this beach were amazing and calm. The people at the seaside shops were super friendly and the local food was delicious. Can't wait to go back.

After being stranded by a no show on our Bahamas Segway tour, we walked to the beach. We met a lady leaving who said, "watch out there is broken glass everywhere." We did see several pieces of broken glass on the beach but the water was clear and the sun was bright and it was a cheap way to spend... More

Water was calm, beautiful.. But it was rocky and lots of broken glass. Homeless onlookers.. Wear shoes and enjoy the visit!

I was looking for a free beach to relax on during a cruise stop and I choose to go to Junkanoo Beach. I was expecting a little more out of it since it is in the Caribbean. Pros: * There are beach chair and umbrella rentals. Some of them come with a "beer or cocktail/shot special." * There are at... More

We went to the tourist beach the first time around and it was crowded but beautiful and had a lot of things to do aka purchase but we decided to stay local and explore the area on our own so we decided to come here. It was pretty local, you won't find many tourist in the area. The beach is... More

If you're the picky type, go to your private island. If you want to walk to the beach from the cruise ship, listen to rasta music while sipping a freshly-made coconut drink or Kalik, and interact with the locals, this beach is paradise. We've been paying through the nose for Carnival excursions and ran across these reviews about this beach... More

Mixed reviews were read about this beach. We decided to give it a try and I must say we were pleased. No one harassed us to purchase anything the restrooms were clean and you could purchase food and drinks nearby.

Came off the cruise ship, did a walk around the town, then up to Fort Fincastle, along the street past the Graycliff Hotel (a beautiful place with friendly staff, well worth a poke around the lobby and grounds) and then down towards Junkanoo Beach. My wife had her bathing suit so she changed and tried the water. Local security people... More

Went here for a stroll. Overcast but still beautiful. Met a very friendly police officer and his dog too!

This beach is awesome! Great Service and very friendly. Definitely going back again. Very short walk from the ship and if you go, buy a coconut and bring plenty of sunblock. The beach was very well maintained.
