Its where the present Governor General lives. The grounds are very well maintained and naturally manicured. Hundreds of photo pics. There is a large statue of Christopher Columbus. There are sometimes parties, awards ceremonies and tea parties hosted there. Every 2nd Saturday morning at 11 an there is a Changing of the Guards were the Royal Bahamas Police Force Band... More

It's pretty, big and pink. It was fun seeing the architecture. I was told that there used to be a cool fountain there, but it's gone now. Not much to do at this venue.. just another photo op. But it's right downtown and easy walking distance, so I'm glad we walked by it. More

Well...you know...it's just a big house...but its nice and the colour is pretty....all you do is basically look at it and take pictures. More

One of the nicest buildings in Nassau...we arrived at a sad time the Lt. Governor was lying in state. So we paid our respects. More

Can't imagine a government house being pink - but that is, however, the Bahamas! It's really neat to go by and worth stopping for some photos. Across the street is Parliment Square where you can run around if you like (there is a large open area) or enjoy a sit in the shade on a nearby bench. Enjoy the lush... More

On the last Friday of the month you can go to the Government House for High Tea at no cost. We were blessed to be in Nassau on that Friday so attended.
