One of our favorite beaches to chill. We have seen some awesome stingrays here - if you go later afternoon you are most likely the only ones on the beach. Our latest trip my daughter found a huge conch shell. More

We really enjoyed snorkeling at Salomon beach. We took the hike and landed on this beautiful beach which we had all to ourselves for an hour or so. I imagine it get crowded later in the day. More

This is definitely my all time favorite beach. I love the fact that it's secluded, has very few tourists, and I can hike a little bit to get some exercise. There is always a nice shady spot under a tree. White sand, beautiful water. I even saw a stingray here once when I was snorkeling. More

I recently visited Salomon Beach. We hiked the Lind Point Trail and ended up in this beach. The walk was worth it. It wasn't crowded, there were only 5 people relaxing on the shore. More

Short 10-15 hike from National Park visitors center takes you to Salomon. Handful of people there. No amenities but better than average beach snorkeling, shade and you can snorkel around rocks to Honeymoon beach where many more people (and some boats) were. Or can get back on trail and hike to Honeymoon. We snorkeled/swam. Dont need to hassle w/ a... More

If you want a hike and a great beach this is the place. You can hike to Salomon a couple of ways. You can start at the ranger station in Cruz Bay and it is about a mile. This path is more level with a few climbs to get down to the beach. There is a shorter way, about 1/2... More

After living in a mountainous region of the States and spending several years there hiking, I knew it was something I would miss when I moved back to the VI. When I feel a little bit of the island fever creeping on, I get myself on a St. John ferry for a hiking fix. With about 80% of the island... More

It's a short, easy 15-minute hike from the Nat'l Park Visitor Center out to this beach and well worth it... every time I've been there have only been 5-6 other folks (at the MOST) and sometimes it's been totally deserted. Completely gorgeous and picture-perfect. GREAT sand, great for sunning yourself, but also some shady spots under trees. Truly gorgeous. More
