We took a boat trip from Sauteurs arranged by our host. Cost 200 ECD (£50) it was worth every penny. Stayed for four hours. The guys from the boat gave us fresh cooked fish that they caught and coconuts/milk. Swam in the crystal clear water, sunbathed. We did find some shade!! This is a must........ Take nothing but photos, leave... More

A fun little trip from Carriacou. Only 5 mins away by boat. Enjoyable snorkelling and a fun place to explore and picnic for a couple of hours. No real shade on the island so take an umbrella or plenty of sunscreen. Please keep this place beautiful – pick up your litter! More

Have you ever dreamed of having a desert Island to yourself?! Well here it is,a perfectly formed jewel set in the tuquoise carribeen sea. You may have to share it with one or two others but the stunted palms will keep the illusion of isolation intact and give some welcome shade. For total perfection arrange you trip and for lunch... We went down to the Hardwood Bar and arranged for a water taxi to take us out to Sandy Island. It's a great place to check out and the water is fantastic! Be sure to plan accordingly. There are no bathrooms and no shelter/shade if you need to get out of the sun. More

Sandy Island had a beautiful beach. However, it is exactly the same as all the other beautiful beaches back on Grenada. I don't feel like it was really worth the 4 hours or travel. We did see a bunch of hermit crabs there. That was cool. More

Just spent a week in wonderful Grenada, I most want to rave about “Sandy Island” yet there is equally strong desire to bury this review for fear this paradise would be ruined by too many visitors. However, in the true spirit of TA here's the review – thankfully this place is not easy to get to. From Grenada you have... More

Amazing for snorkeling. Just amazing in general. I loved this place. Just beware that if you go here there is no shelter and no bathroom. Our water taxi left us here during an afternoon rainstorm which wasn't fun. Overall though the snorkeling is INCREDIBLE. More
