We have cruised to St. Lucia on Carnival Cruise Lines three times in the last four years, and on our first visit discovered the Basilica during a walk around downtown. Saturday eve we planned our Sunday. Go to Church, just like at home. We attended the last ten minutes of the 9AM service and the first 40 minutes of the 1030 service. Our experience attending the service prooved to be the greatest St. Lucia cultural experience. Church services are well attended with families that sing and pray. Voices were melodic... More

The entire church is painted with murals and decorations. The stained glass windows are pretty. This church is something to go out of your way to see.

It was worth the 30 dollar ride to Castries to see this church. I have travelled the world over and it is always worth it to see the local places of worship. By the way - the church was quite impressive.
