Go round the island to Jackboy Hill and get an impression from there, including the devastating sight of the old capital Plymouth, now buried deep under debris, lava and volcaic rocks. Of course this was our #1 spot becaus ethics is why we came. We were fortunate that we could see the volcano one day and it was worth it. Completely mesmerizing to us.

Althought we couldnt see her through the cloud we could see the devestation that she left behind! Maqke sure you ask a local for a tour as the flash floods are mental. It is a real eye opener to see the devestation!!!

This is the best reason to visit Montserrat. In order to really appreciate it, you will either have to rent a car or take a tour.
