Our guide Jeffrey was awesome! Even more impressive is the Bio Bay itself. It is not to be missed. Abe's 2 person kayaks are super stable and it was amazing being to close to the water.

1. They said to show up at 6:30...we were early...turns out we don't leave till 7pm...so it was a lot of standing around. 2. The tour guides we had on the drive out were really awesome. 3. They have 2 and 3 person kayaks 4. Even with it not being close a full moon yet it was hard to see... More

We went on the night Biobay kayak tour with Abe's and had a great time. When you arrive, guides provide you with mosquito repellent. We had no issues with mosquitos. We were grouped by number and then packed into a van for a short (but treacherous) drive to the bay. I've read that people complain about the drive but I... More

Abe's runs a very good tour of the Biobay. They picked us up at the boardwalk in Esperanza and drove us down a (bumpy!) road to the Bay, then efficiently distributed paddles and life jackets and loaded us into kayaks. They have a good system to keep track of guests. The tour of the Bay included the science behind the... More

My wife and I did a 2 1/2 hour semi-private kayaking and snorkeling with Abe's. My wife cannot swim and had never snorkeled before. Our guide, Carlitos, was so patient and understanding that he was actually able to get her to try snorkeling. Once she popped her masked head under the surface she was amazed with what she saw -... While the trip ran on island time, it was great to see the island through a local's eyes. Our guide Carlitos was a lot of fun, very knowledgeable, and so enthusiastic. We did the all day tour, which had us snorkel, picnic, kayak through mangroves, and then kayak through mosquito bay. Mosquito bay was definitely the highlight. We were in... More

We had booked an all afternoon kayak, snorkel, biobay trip. Unfortunately due to inclement weather, this had to be cancelled. Abe met us personally to explain. I'm sure it wasn't easy passing up $900 (gross revenue from 6 people going on that trip), but he did the right thing and the safe thing. He refunded us totally and made arrangements... More

We kayaked with Josh and Brandon from Chiva Beach -- they were very helpful with my 6-year old son who tired of snorkeling, plus they pointed out lots of different fish and geared the trip to what we really wanted to see. It's not easy to keep 4 children aged 6 to 12 interested, but Brandon and Josh really made... More

We did the 7:00 pm meet up bio-bay kayaking tour. This is something everyone needs to do at least once in their life. If you enjoy kayaking and being involved in the action I would highly recommend the kayaking tours as opposed to the boat tours. Biology nerds will be in heaven. Watching illuminated fish dart away from the kayaks... More

I did the all day tour with snorkeling, kayaking, and the bio bay. Our tour definitely operated on island time, but it actually made the trip more amusing and enjoyable. Saw a string ray and sea turtle, as well as too many fish and coral to count. The guide had an incredible attitude and answered any and all questions about... More
