A friend who has lived in Puerto Rico his entire life and had visited the zoo years ago, encouraged me not to expect too much. However, I took my family (3 kiddos ages 8-11) and we were pleasantly surprised. We were given a headset so we could take the tour at our own pace and listen to various animal and... More

The animal are within close distance. The zoo staff are very nice. I notice there were a lot of leaves on the ground. They had food and drinks. Finding the zoo using a gps was easy. My time at the zoo with my family was joyful.

This is the biggest zoo in the island. I feel it could be better. You pay a fee and is not like the zoos in the US. Not my first choice but it could be way better. Animals looked a little tired and facilities needed a little bit more of TLC.

We went for a day trip with many kids (ages 5-13). You do have to pay for parking, and pay the entrance fee right there at the parking entrance (younger than 4 are free, $8 young kids, $12 adults). They provide you with a headset that you can choose Spanish or English..throughout the zoo there are signs that indicate the... More

If you travel with kids a visit is a must. The zoo is not design like new zoos were most animals roam freely but has a large enough variety to please the visitor. Has a nice butterfly exhibit. Lots of walking so wear comfortable clothing and shoes.

Very good place to go with your family. I love going to this zoo with my daughter. They have all sorts of animals and they have beautiful butterflies. They even sell ice cream.

I took my son here for a school field trip not too long ago. The animals looked starved and weak. I could only feel bad as I walked my.

I don't like being forced to buy the headset, it is way too hot to be walking around with headphones on telling you about the animal. There is no option to opt out of the headset even if you bring your own, so we will not be back. I would compare this zoo to the small fairs back home, you... More
