This cathedral is right inside the San Juan gate and is the first stop the pirates supposedly visited before their nights on the town. Beautiful architecture.

the tomb of ponce de leon is here. attended mass there on sunday (all in Spanish, except the gospel). saturday weddings and subsequent photos of the bridal parties on the steps in front afterwards, are an event in themselves -- can't be beat for local color.

We walked by this church on our food tour and as the sun was setting a wedding was going on inside. The views are breathtaking and it's free admission. Worth stopping by if you come across it on your visit to the old san juan area of the city.

The Catedral has many years of history and should be restored to its potential. Docent was gracious and welcoming.

We visited the Cathedral during a weekday and it was very accessible. There is no cost or entrance fee. One of the most beautiful churches that I have visited. This is the second oldest cathedral in the Americas. You can view the tomb of Ponce De Leon or stare at the frescoes or stain glass windows.

And a few neat (odd) things to see. The tomb of de Leon and the mummy of St. Pio are halfway down on the left, and the relics of Blessed Carlos Manuel Rodríguez Santiago are further down on the right. It is an active church, with (late) services at 9 and 11 on Sundays. It is open until 2 on... More

It looks more impressive than it is. Beautiful building but just a small church.there's not to say about this attraction other than it is a church with seats and a statue.i think there was a short history offered however we didn't take advantage of that. There is no charge but a donation box is available. There are quite a few... More

Beautiful cathedral. And thank you for not shutting us out while you celebrated your faith. I always love to see what man has built to celebrate our awesome God!
