Labadee Beach and the surrounding are a gem in the Caribbean, and the snorkelling fantastic. I reccommend Labadee Snorkel Tours for your day excursion. We went on the RC Freedom of the Seas, first stop at Labadee, Haiti, week of 8/16/09. They bill Labadee as this resort paradise, but do not really advertise what goes on. The RC staff says to not worry about bringing any money--only your sea pass. Now, Labadee is pretty setting, deep blue-green water, and open sand though coarse sand.... more

Just got back from RC Liberty of the Seas.. one of the stops was their private island Labadee. Right now they are using tenders to take you onshore because the pier is currently under construction...
