I just sailed on the Tahatian Princess from Dover to Capetown. The food on the ship was not up to standard and the entertainment was a shocker! The ship was old and so were the fittings on it. The price I paid was just outrageous.West Africa is not a holiday destinantion as it is very basic undeveloped and there are no attractions... more

My husband and I just returned from our cruise on RCCL's Grandeur of the Seas. We had an amazing time, and found that Labadee was our favorite stop (again). We had been there back in 2006 and loved it so much we wanted to come back again. I had read other reviews and heard about the warf construction that was... more

we returned from our Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas cruise on 1.11.09. Labadee was our last stop of the cruise and we were not disappointed. The island is beautiful - there is still a little construction work going on to build a port, but it does not affect your trip. The tender from the ship went smoothly with just... more

Labadee Beach and the surrounding are a gem in the Caribbean, and the snorkelling fantastic. I reccommend Labadee Snorkel Tours for your day excursion. The staff is professional and fun, and the tour boat is clean, well-maintained, and large enough to feel not too crowded. The snorkelling is perfect, in clear, warm water that is the most lovely aqua blue... more

I just got back from Royal Carribean's Freedom of the Seas cruise. Our first stop was Labadee. Before we left, I did my research on tripadvisor and cruise critic to determine what I should schedule as far as excursions go. I decided not to schedule anything and use the day as a beach day, as I jam packed our schedule... more

My husband and I bought gifts while we were there. It was a stop for Celebrity cruises, and we were there in March. We bought a painting, a carved man and a walking stick. We had the stick engraved with a friend's name. This friend just called to tell me that after having it since March, and on display, never... more

We went on the RC Freedom of the Seas, first stop at Labadee, Haiti, week of 8/16/09. They bill Labadee as this resort paradise, but do not really advertise what goes on. The RC staff says to not worry about bringing any money--only your sea pass. Now, Labadee is pretty setting, deep blue-green water, and open sand though coarse sand.... more

Just got back from RC Liberty of the Seas.. one of the stops was their private island Labadee. Right now they are using tenders to take you onshore because the pier is currently under construction... Once on shore there are plenty of beach chairs to lounge, but we booked 2 activities which included: Jet-Ski Adventure and Flight Line (Dragon's Breath)... more

I went on a cruise with RCCL on Freedom of the Seas in June '09. This was my first cruise, so although I wasn't overly impressed with Labadee on the whole, it was a good experience. The only thing I wish I had are beach shoes. The beach is sandy where you sit, but under water there are these concrete/coral... more

Back in September of 2004, my mates and I were scheduled to take a Royal Caribbean cruise with a western Caribbean itinerary. Unfortunately, we were set to depart during the dying days of Hurricane Ivan. Having to forge through tough seas and terrible weather to keep the itinerary intact, the captain opted to take us to Labadee, Royal Caribbean's private... more
